About this film

What is color PPF?

Color paint protection film, or colored PPF, is a pigmented self-healing film that changes your car's color and protects it at the same time. Where a vinyl color wrap only changes appearance and offers no real defense, Atelier delivers a full custom color with 8.0 mil of genuine impact protection, self-healing, and a 10-year warranty. It is the modern way to change your color without the risk or cost of a repaint, and without sacrificing protection.

Why VOIR Atelier

Atelier uses enhanced pigmentation technology for rich, consistent color with real depth, not the flat, sticker-like look of cheap wraps. The ceramic-infused top coat gives the color a wet, glossy finish and keeps it protected from stains and UV fade.

  • Full custom color change in a single protective layer
  • Enhanced pigmentation for deep, consistent, glossy color
  • 8.0 mil impact protection against chips, debris, and scratches
  • Self-healing top coat that removes light swirls with heat
  • Ceramic-infused and hydrophobic for easy care and stain resistance
  • Reversible: protects and preserves the factory paint underneath

Built for

Exotic, luxury, and performance vehicles, and anyone who wants a bespoke, head-turning color while protecting the car's value. Ideal for full-body color changes, two-tone builds, and accent panels.

Color PPF vs. vinyl wrap vs. repaint

A vinyl wrap changes color but is thin, offers little protection, and cannot self-heal. A repaint is permanent, expensive, and can hurt resale value. Color PPF is the only choice that changes your color, physically protects the original paint, self-heals, and comes off cleanly later. For a custom look that also preserves the car, Atelier is the answer.

Care and maintenance

Atelier is easy to live with. Wait about a week after installation, then hand wash with soap and water and a soft mitt. Skip abrasive polishes and automatic brushes. The self-healing top coat removes light swirls with heat, and the hydrophobic surface keeps the color vivid and clean.

Storage & Handling

Auto paint protection film (PPF) rolls should be stored upright in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to preserve adhesive quality. Keep rolls in their original packaging until use to protect against dust, moisture, and surface damage. For best results, maintain storage temperatures between 60 to 77°F (15 to 25°C) and avoid bending or creasing the film.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does VOIR paint protection film last?

VOIR film is backed by a 10 year limited warranty from the date of professional installation. Real world life depends on climate, driving conditions, and care, but properly maintained VOIR PPF is built to protect for the full warranty period. Warranty must be registered and approved through the VOIR website.

Does color and matte PPF self-heal?

Yes. Every VOIR series, including Atelier color PPF and Spectre matte PPF, uses a self-healing topcoat. Light swirl marks and fine scratches disappear with heat from the sun, warm water, or a heat gun.

What is the difference between paint protection film and a vinyl wrap?

Paint protection film is a thicker urethane film engineered to absorb impact from rock chips and road debris, and it self-heals. Vinyl wrap is a thinner material made mainly to change appearance and offers little impact protection. VOIR Atelier gives you a color change and true protection in one layer.

Can PPF be removed without damaging the paint?

Yes. When installed and removed by a trained professional, paint protection film comes off without harming factory paint. That is one of the main reasons owners choose PPF over a repaint.

What is a clear bra?

Clear bra is the common name for clear paint protection film. The term comes from early installs that covered only the front bumper. Today coverage ranges from a partial front end to full body. VOIR Lumiere is our clear gloss option.

How much of my car should I protect?

Full front coverage of the bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors is the most popular choice because those panels take the most road damage. Full body coverage protects every painted panel. Your installer can recommend the right package for how you drive.

What installers are saying

Real feedback from the professionals installing VOIR film.

Funny how I said I am not gonna buy another brand of PPF. And now here I am, buying many every week.

The panel tack is boggling our minds. Clean install, no lines, easily re-positionable but with a good bite on the surface. We are locked in.

Films 10/10. The panels I installed went down so nice, definitely some good adhesive on it.
