VOIR Warranty

The VOIR PPF 10 year warranty.

Every VOIR paint protection film installation completed by an authorized VOIR dealer is backed by a 10 year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Coverage activates once your installation is registered within 30 days. Here is exactly what is covered, what is not, and how it works.

What the Warranty Covers

The warranty covers confirmed manufacturing defects in the film itself, including:

YellowingFilm discoloration from a manufacturing defect
CrackingFilm breaking down under normal use
BlisteringBubbling in the film material
DelaminationLayers of the film separating
Adhesive FailureWhen caused by a manufacturing defect

If a qualifying defect is confirmed, VOIR provides replacement film material for the affected area. For ATELIER and other colored films, color defects present in the film as manufactured are covered. Gradual color change from prolonged sun exposure is normal for any exterior film and is not a manufacturing defect.

What Is Not Covered

The warranty covers the film, not outside damage. It does not cover:

Installation Issues

  • Improper installation techniques
  • Improper surface preparation
  • Installation over damaged or defective paint
  • Edge lifting caused by installation error

Surface and Substrate

  • Repainted, primed, damaged or non factory surfaces
  • Non painted surfaces: carbon fiber, chrome, headlights, taillights
  • Repainting costs for any reason
  • VOIR film is warranted on factory (OEM) clear coat only

Environmental and Physical

  • Rock chips or road debris
  • Accidents or collisions
  • Vandalism or intentional damage
  • Fire, hail, flooding, or natural disasters

Maintenance Damage

  • Improper washing methods
  • Abrasive wash tools or automatic car washes
  • Harsh chemicals or solvents
  • Not following recommended care guidelines

Other Exclusions

  • Scratches or stains
  • Water spots, stains and chemical etching from contaminants or improper washing
  • The hydrophobic top layer, whose beading naturally diminishes over time
  • Paint defects or surface rust
  • Unauthorized third party work
  • Non automotive applications
  • Aftermarket coatings not approved by VOIR

VOIR PPF is designed as a sacrificial layer. It takes the hits so your paint does not. Minor surface scratching, light staining and environmental exposure are normal wear, not manufacturing defects.

A confirmation email lands in your inbox. Keep your warranty card and invoice for your records.

Making a Claim

If your registered VOIR film shows a covered defect, file a claim at voirppt.com/pages/warranty-claim within 30 days of first noticing the issue. Claims may be filed by the vehicle owner or by the installing shop on the owner's behalf. You will need your VIN, the VOIR order and batch numbers from your card, your installing shop and installation date, a description of the issue, and at least two clear photos: one close-up of the defect and one showing the full affected panel.

VOIR acknowledges every claim within two business days, may request additional photos or a physical inspection, and if the defect is confirmed as a manufacturing defect, provides replacement film material for the affected area. Labor, installation, removal and reinstallation costs are not covered. All decisions regarding the presence of a valid defect are made by VOIR.

Keep Your Coverage Valid

First 14 days

  • Let the film cure: no washing, pressure sprays or automatic car washes
  • If needed, gently dust with a clean microfiber towel

Ongoing care

  • Wash every 2 to 3 weeks, pH neutral soap, two bucket method
  • Rinse thoroughly, dry with clean microfiber
  • Remove bird droppings, bug splatter, sap and spills immediately

Avoid

  • High pressure washers
  • Automatic car washes
  • Washing in direct sunlight
  • Abrasive tools or towels

Never use on VOIR film

  • Ammonia based glass cleaners
  • Waxes or polishes with abrasives
  • All purpose cleaners
  • Solvents: acetone, rubbing alcohol, paint thinner

Use of these products voids coverage. Water spots, stains and chemical etching that result from care not following these guidelines are not covered.
